Dalva Vintage 2015
Vintage
96 points DecanterThe bouquet reaches high out of the glass: flowers, black berry fruit, spice and hedgerow. It’s complex and rich yet elegant, with smooth tannins. Serious wine, deserving several years bottle age. All there for the future (and present if decanted).

95 points Wine EnthusiastA powerful port packed with flavour. Peppery notes, blackberries, chocolate, liquorice and spice that carries into an incredibly long finish. Accessible, juicy and so fresh!
90 points Robert ParkerThe 2015 Vintage Port Dalva is a field blend that comes in with 98 grams of residual sugar. Despite that moderately low result, it is sweet and seductive on opening, drinking fairly well right now. While seeming rich and palate-coating for this vintage, it isn’t a big wine in power, perhaps, but it does everything else very well. It is just stuffed with fruit. It finishes with baked red-fruit nuances and cistus, while showing good concentration for the vintage. Overall, it is relatively forward. Particularly when retasted the next day, it drank pretty well. It has the feel of an excellent, traditional LBV on the second day tasted (not an insult in my book). It is delicious and very sexy, and you won’t have to wait three decades to drink it. There were 5,000 bottles produced from vines averaging roughly 25 years in age.
